I was tasked with designing a boutique hotel for Graduate Hotels. Our site is located along Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. Our hotel would be housed within the Art Deco Museum and the Miami Beach Patrol Center.

Graduate Hotels is a brand that designs boutique hotels within university towns and its mission is to inform the guests of the rich history the surrounding area has about academia, the arts, and renowned public figures. Working with Graduate Hotels, I intend to provide guests with the experience of connecting with the land and sea of Miami Beach, how art and design influence us, and how interconnected academia is in the city's development.

 

Timeless sophistication is found in the space's soft curves while its patterns take on lavish stylized forms. Guests will relive and reimagine the romanticized elegance of Art Deco while basking in the tranquil tropics of modern Miami.
